A simple framework for complaint questions

Listen fully, acknowledge the feeling, apologise for the experience, fix it or find someone who can, then follow up. Walk the interviewer through those steps in a real STAR example and finish with the result: a saved sale, a good review or a returning customer.

Show it in the interview

Interviewers judge your manner as much as your answers. Smile, listen to the whole question, and keep answers warm and specific. It's a live demonstration of the service you'd give.
