Privacy notice
Zokwe Interviews helps people practise job interviews with an AI panel. This notice explains what personal data we use, why, and your rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash) or your Google sign-in.
- Interview content: the job you are practising for, the questions asked, your typed or spoken answers (as text), your scores and feedback. If you choose to record yourself, the video and audio recording.
- Payments: Stripe processes card payments. We never see or store your full card number, only a record of what you bought.
- Usage: basic logs needed to run and secure the service, plus anonymous counts of article views and newsletter clicks.
Why we use it
- To provide the service you ask for (contract): running interviews, scoring answers, showing reports and replays, and sending the emails you request, such as your debrief.
- To keep the service safe and working (legitimate interests): preventing abuse, fixing problems and improving questions.
- Newsletter tips only with your consent. You can unsubscribe from any email in one click.
Who processes it for us
- Trusted providers help us run Zokwe: cloud hosting, AI language and speech models that generate questions, feedback and voices, Stripe for payments and an email delivery provider. They process data only on our instructions.
- We do not sell your data and we do not use your interview answers for advertising.
Recruiter screening
- If a recruiter invites you to a screening interview, your answers, scores and recording are shared with that recruiter and their hiring team for that vacancy only.
How long we keep it
- We keep your account and interview history while your account is open, so you can track your progress. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time. Recordings can be deleted from your report.
Your rights
- You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, or object to how we use it. Contact us using the form on our About page and choose “Privacy / data request”.
- If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
